There are three parts to the Seal, from Bronze to Gold and you can commit at a level which works for you.
Last year we had an open call for all budding artists to apply to create our Seal of Approval design, and we were touched by the number of entries we received - it was a tough decision to choose just one winning design!
7-year-old Ava has designed the Seal of Approval logo, now featured as the mascot for businesses who apply to join the charter. Ava also got to attend breakfast with the seals at SEALife Scarborough as part of her prize – being treated to a VIP tour, breakfast, and full-day entry to the centre.

We’ve worked very hard to protect the area and make the latest changes in our business. Signing up for Seal of Approval is another way to show our customers that we are as committed to this as providing great service for 25 years.
Small changes every day make big positive movements – we need more initiatives like Protect our Coast to guide businesses to do better for the planet, but also reassure customers that they’re making the right choice to save our seas and our coasts. I highly recommend joining!
We, as an organisation that provides funding to event organisers, have strived to work with those that, as a minimum, have a leave-no-waste policy in place.
To strengthen this further, along with our guidelines for funding, we will be making it a requirement that event organisers can demonstrate that they are able to fulfil a checklist that aligns with the pledges being made by the business community.
